In addition to basic Storage functionality that delivers electric bill savings from Rate-Arbitration (on TOU tariffs by buying low and selling high) and Demand Charges Mitigation by limiting customers’ Peak Demand, the OXPP system optionally enables an on-site Microgrid that intelligently controls other on site DERs such as EV Chargers, HVAC, existing gensets, etc. and makes them all available to participate in various Utility, ISO, and other “grid Services” programs such as DR, Curtailment, Frequency Regulation, ELRP and DSGS, etc.
Storage Systems have potential far beyond just Back-Up Power and savings on electric bills. When operated as local, behind the meter (BTM) Microgrids, they open up vast potential to capture various new and emerging sources of revenue and participate in buying and selling of power in real-time markets.
